Accelerated CNE 6 Program

Audience

This program is perfect for any student who has some experience with Novell networks and wants to become a Certified Novell Engineer.  It is assumed that you have at least a working level knowledge of typical network administrative duties (adding users, creating login scripts, installing client software, etc…).

The Concept

With today’s hectic pace and tight economy, most companies can not justify the cost of 5 weeks of training nor can they afford to have an employee out of the office for that long a period of time.  We have designed a program that covers all the material necessary to give you CNE skills in just 3 weeks, and at a fraction of the cost of taking all the classes individually.  We simply move at a slightly faster pace and depend on your existing knowledge of the basic concepts.

The Details

The CNE 6 track consists of 5 individual classes and associated exams.  The classes are:

• 3001 – Foundations of Novell Networking

• 3004 – Novell Network Management with NetWare 6

• 3005 – Advanced Network Management with NetWare 6

• 575   – Novell eDirectory Design and Implementation

• 3006 – Desktop Management with ZENworks for Desktops 4

This accelerated program covers the material in all 5 classes.  You will receive 5 full Novell Student Kits and supplemental materials.  The classes are taught by a Certified Novell Instructor who is also an expert consultant.

The entire program is spread out over a 5 week period.  You attend class one week and get the next week off (3 weeks of classroom instruction).  This gives you time to digest the material and to stay productive at work.

The Cost

Taking all 5 required classes would cost you roughly $ 9,200 at any authorized education location.  This program costs you ONLY $5,500 for the same authorized education material and content.

Questions

Q: Is this a boot camp?

A: No, this is not the type of program where we cram a ton of material down your throat in 5 days.  Studies have shown that those programs simply do not work.  Our program is designed to maximize the time available so that you actually learn the material.

Q: Can I attend if I have absolutely no base knowledge of Novell networking?

A: Sorry but we do not recommend attendance for those in your situation.

Q: How long should I wait before taking the certification exams?

A: Don’t wait!  Take your exams within 1 week of covering the material.  It is suggested that you take the exams during the break weeks in the program.  It is best to take the exams while the information is still fresh in your mind.

Q: Is this Authorized Novell Training or a third-party program?

A: This is Novell Authorized Training.  You will receive the official Novell courseware for all 5 courses.  The class is taught by a Master Certified Novell Instructor.  All the Novell objectives are covered in the program.
